Old School,
I am taking a little trip out of town for the weekend and am trying to get Wednesday off. I will be away from internet access after this morning until Tuesday. Leave a light on for me if I get the time off approved I will meet you at the Dysart watering hole. I will send you an individual e-mail Tuesday to let you know if I will be there or not. |

Everyone watch Louann's post on page 1 for the actual updates for formup locations and times, they should be in place by Sunday. Remember be gassed and ready to leave at posted times. If you are going directly to Tucson be gassed before you get to church so we are ready for the 90 mile ride to cemetary. |

I will be making this trip for an American Heroes last ride. It is an honor to be riding with Mr. Dick Powell.
I have a question about flags this time. I want to fly my 3 X 5 flags but I know that they won't hold up in the wind all the way down to sierra vista. So are we going to mount the flags at the staging area then take them back off before the trip to Sierra Vista, or am I jumping the gun too early on this subject?
Oh and it is West Orange Grove |

Old School is correct with the Tucson Staging Location. I have sent a detailed PM to Louann with the Times, Exits, Distances, Food and Gas Locations and additional informations. She will be posting everything tomorrow morning as an update.
Any of you whom wish to help as roadguards please get with myself, Warthog or Louann when you arrive at the Staging Area in Tucson. Please come early so that we may insure we are all on the same page during the ride. I will be there at 0800. This is my first duty as a Ride Captain and I won't object to sane suggestions or ideas. It is my personal preference that the Road Guards do not have a passenger.
I am meeting with Warthog this Sat. morning at the Sunny Side-Up Cafe at 0900. It is located on N. Oracle up near Catalina, I think. We will be discussing Wednesdays schedule and route. If you care to join us, and add your ideas and knowledge, you are welcome to join us. We may be doing a dry run over the route, on Sun, maybe.

It is with regret that I can not attend this mission. Louann will have the flags and she will let you folks know when and where they will be.
I am truly sorry and saddened that I am unable to say farewell to a true hero of our Country and a fellow PGR member.
To the family and friends of Dick "Thingy" Powell my deepest condolences and prayers that this veteran and hero be riding in heaven looking down upon us and helping our lord keep us all free and safe.

Hopefully I will find out today if I can get the day off so I can attend the services in Tucson and in Sierra Vista.

If any of you are coming down to Tucson on Tue, LadyLyn and I have a couple couches and floor space where you can crash for the night. No charge for showers........We live about 2 miles from the staging area. And, there is always a downside to this offer. We have a no smoking/drinking rule...... Call or e-mail if you need a place to stay and the rules are not a problem. We have a really nice sitting area and Ramada in the back yard if you don't mind smoking outside.
