I am from CT (Enfield). I now reside in Tennessee. I have had the pleasure of being a Hospital Corpsman for 20 yrs. I retired last year. No greater bond exists than that of Marine and their Docs. When we lose one, the others feel it. I feel this one, I want to fly home to CT and await word. I can not however, so I must stay here and grieve from afar.

Jordan was a Marine. Whatever he was in the days before the island, he is and always be a brother to me. His family is my family by virtue of that bond I talked of. I am so sorry that he is gone. We can't bring him home, but we will stand behind you on the day you lay him to rest. Wheter we do this in person or from places far away, 50,000 of us stand because he can not.

I can not think of one word to make you feel better, but I can and will be available at any time for you if you need me. You, his family and friends may email me at puckmedic@corpsman.com or pgrcagerdoc@hotmail.com

Rather than mourn the extinction of the stars,
Let us celebrate, and always remember how brightly they burned.
Their fire will live on in our hearts forever.

May God Bless our brave soldiers
Who have made the ultimate sacrifice
So that we may live our lives in freedom.

We are forever grateful.

I spoke with a friend of the family acting as a liason....
She confirmed he will be buried at Arlington.
A memorial service here in CT is probable

Waiting to hear if the family requests our presence to honor this hero...

May he rest in peace...

For the family of Cpl. Jordan C. Pierson:

I can only imagine what you and your family have gone through since being notified of the death of Jordan. I want you to know that you are not alone.  Hearts of families all over the United States are grieving with you and have your family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

LIFE...so fragile.    LOSS... so sudden.    HEART...so broken.

In time, there will come a day when the tears of sorrow

will softly flow into sighs of remembrance. Your heart will begin to heal itself.
Grieving will be interrupted by episodes of joy; & you will hear the whisper of hope.
There will come a day when you will welcome the pangs of remembrance

as a sun shower of the soul; a turning of the tide; the promise of peace.
There will come a day when you will risk loving,

go on believing, and treasure the remembering.

Jordan was a very good and brave man. You have much to be proud of. He has not left you, but has been re-deployed to Heaven. I wish that I could ease your pain and sadness, but it will be a long, slow and painful climb.  Pain this deep will never go entirely away, but I pray that as each day that passes the hurt becomes a little less. And the memories of a lifetime will sustain you. These memories are your keepsake that can never be taken away.  God has Jordan in his keeping, but you have him forever in your thoughts and hearts. We pray that our Savior – in whose presence Jordan now rests – will comfort you and ease the pain of this loss and that your memories of him will shine through the sadness.

Just noticed another thread that mentions CPL Pierson is being escorted by the PGR all the way from Dover Air Force Base in Delaware to Milford CT.  Here is the link-

Is he still being interred in Arlington?  Has anything changed??

If there is ever a tomorrow when we are not together there is something you must always remember: you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think, but most important of all, even if we are apart, I'll always be with you.

and so we are...
Thanks for your service in this mission...I was out of place for most of it but Chuckh, CT Ride Captain did an excellent job of coordinating the PGR riders from CT.  I also received a very nice email from the military thanking the PGR for representing the mission and ourselves so well.
