Has anyone set up a staging area for those of us coming from the North? May I suggest somewhere in Sheldon? My thoughts were to group up anyone coming in from the North in Sheldon somewhere, then riding down 60 thru Hospers to Sheldon. Any input on a place and time to meet up in Sheldon?

Attached is a map of Orange City. Marked out is the staging area, NW College parking, and the 1st Reformed Church. My computer editing is not very good so I used pen.  Staging will be at 0845 hrs with clutches out at 0900. I will be in the lot at 0800 hrs for any one that is early. I will be on a Blue H-D Street Glide with a big Flag. Look for me. Easiest way to Orange City is to take the exit off Hwy 60 in Alton and go west 3 miles. Those coming from the South will want to do the same way. Black top is under construction. Gas station next door and Hardees across the street for pit stops and munchies. Any troubles my bro-in-law has a roll-back so call me at 712-540-3782. until Saturday, pegs down for those that can't be with us and see you all there.

Anyone coming from the north or east wanting to meet in Spencer, let me know. Hiway 18 west from Spencer to Sheldon, then south to Alton. Maybe we can hook up with others in Sheldon? Either post or email.

I will meet you guys at Oolman funeral home in O.C. at 5:45. The route is undetermined at this time, but we will have LEO escort from the airport back to O.C. I have been in touch with the Sioux County Sherrif and he is
aware of the plans so far and I will get in touch with the Lyon County and Sioux Falls LEO's today. The route will be determined today after I finish taking to Chad at the funeral home, but it sounds like we will take interstate 29 to the Canton exit and use Hwy 18 as the major route to Hwy 75 and then Hwy 10 to O.C.. (more details to come). Any one coming for the funeral fromth North or West, I will be leaving the Hy-Vee parking lot in Sioux Center on the South end of HWY 75 by 0830 Saturday if you want to stage there. They have a very good breakfast menu.
Later,

To anyone staging in Sheldon, may I suggest the parking lot across from the feed mill on Hwy 60. It is South of the 4 way stop and is on the S.E. corner of the only stop light on Hwy 60 in Sheldon.

Bob O ~

The Feed mill parking lot in Sheldon sounds good to me, what time are you thinking of staging there?

As far as motels go, the only one I could think of in OC is the Dutch Colony Inn.  706 8 ST  SE  Ph:712-737-3490.  Another option would be Sioux Center, it's only 12 miles away.  We've got a couple of Mom & Pops.
