Somebody needs to bump this mission up to the confirmed missions section!!

I hope to make this mission, depending on the time, can't afford to stay overnite. I went thru Hospers (and Orange City) last year on a ride to visit relatives in Sioux City....there's a neat statue of a soldier on a pedestal in the center of town in Hospers, right in the middle of the intersection. Thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Pfc Thorne.

There are no words adequate to stand up to such a loss for a young wife, parents and family, and all the friends and comrades-in-arms of Pfc. William E. Thorne, only actions will do. Standing By.

I can not make it for Wed, but if needed for Sat at the funeral, I would be honored to attand.  I have to drive a cage but will help in any way I can.  God Bless you William.  I know you are in his arms now and forever.  My heart goes out to his family.  As a Marine Viet Nam Vet, I can only pray for you and for the support now afforded our veterans because of the Guard.  I left many friends in Nam that I wish could have had this support.  God Bless you all.

My condolences to the Family and Friends of Pfc. William E. Thorne. He is a true American hero.

I will tentatively coordinate a ride from SE MN to this mission. We will meet at the new Kwik Trip in Stewartville, and head West on I-90, making quick stops in Dexter, Albert Lea, Fairmont, and finally Worthington to pick up the rest of Minnesota.

These stops are all tentative at this time. We will post times as soon as possible, so please be patient.

It is with deep regret that I find I have a prior commitment for Memorial weekend that requires I miss this mission. Although I can't be there in person, I will be there with my fellow PGR Brothers and Sisters on Saturday in my thoughts and prayers as they show their respect and honor the sacrifice made by Pfc. Thorne. Ride safe.

The site of the funeral and visitation, The First Reformed Church, is in Orange City, IA. located at 429 Central Ave. This is the same street that runs on the East side of the courthouse but is on the North end of that street, whereas the courthouse is on the South end.
