| Sgt. Fearon: So glad that you made it home just fine. Just wanted to let you know for the rest of us here out on the west coast that made that escort we were at the station across from the main gate at least 1 hour before hand so that we would not miss your buses. This meant that alot of us had at least 1 hour rides to get there and be on time. Even with all this we all were very happy to be able to escort you to Camp Pendelton, but seeing your email to your uncle was the icing on the cake. Many of us read also of the forums and seeing how much it effected you along with the others on the bus made the whole day so well worth it. Welcome home and Thank you for your service for our country. |

| In my most recent conversation with Sgt. Fearon, there had been a delay for his request for leave, it was not going to be official until today (Sunday). I understand he would be able to pick up his paper work yesterday. I also understand that he and his wife, Tomomi, will be leaving California Sunday and driving cross country to get here. Sgt, Fearon is counting on it taking them approximately 29 hours to drive. He is to call me as they leave Camp Pendleton as to give us a better idea as to when we can expect him here. As soon as I hear from him, I will post the info. As with most missions, this one will have to be very flexible, please monitor this thread closely as the time for our Hero's arrival grows closer. |

I live in Memphis near I-240 and if this is the route Sgt Fearon will take to Nashville we (BigBear61 and I) would love to escort Sgt Fearon the last leg of His trip to Nashville if our scedule will permit. We will be watching the thread for updates but if someone will pass this on to Sgt Fearon and let us know when/where to meet Him... I have a cell phone so no matter what time I can be reached with this info. Thanks to all of You and especially to our Soldiers that keep us safe each day Blessings to All... Alamo

I spoke to Sgt. Fearon last night (Sunday) around 6 pm. He and his wife were leaving the state of California driving cross country to Tennessee. He thought he would be coming into Middle Tennessee Monday night. Considering the fact that he will probably be coming in late and tired, we will probably gather Tuesday morning to make the trip to Giles County, the cemetery at Shores Baptist Church. As I speak to him throughout the day today, I will know more about the plans later. At this time, it appears we will be staging in the Columbia area, leaving the morning of the 19th enroute to the cemetery. We'll need all PGR members we can because we're wanting to form a Tunnel of Honor for Sgt. Fearon from the front of the church all th way to the grave site.

OK, the key to this Welcome Home being a success is FLEXIBILTY! I talked to Sgt. Fearon a little while ago; he’s expecting to arrive around 11:30-12 midnight. He wants to slip in quietly tonight and meet up with everyone tomorrow. He’s going to call me when he’s about an hour away, where I can meet him and make sure he gets everything he needs.
To allow Sgt. Fearon and his wife to sleep in a little, rest up, and not have to rush out, I’ve reserved a back room at Shoneys (corner of Hwy 31 and Hwy 50) for the breakfast bar for 9:30. Across the street from there, we have received permission to stage at the Save-a lot parking lot between 10:30 and 11. At that time we will be meeting with a Maury County deputy who will then escort us to the Giles County line.
I’m not sure what we’ve got lined up in Pulaski quite yet, I will post updates and/or changes ASAP. My contact number is 931-398-0681.

Bless you all and thank you for this awsome opportunity Alamo & BigBear61 "Love, Loyalty and Honor.... above all, Honor" |

The street address for Shoneys is ... 2303 Carmack Blvd, Columbia
The street address for Save-alot is... 112 E. James Campbell Blvd, Columbia
Did you try my 931-398-0681 number? If I don't hear from you tonight, I'll try giving you a call...
I'm not sure of Sgt. Fearon's intentions after the cemetery, he wants to meet David's parents in Nashville, that probably won't happen until Wednesday, so it might be that he can hang out here Tuesday night.
As far as tomorrow is concerned, unless Pulaski wants to honor Sgt. Fearon in some manner, we should be at the cemetary by 12:30, maybe stay there about an hour.
Hope this helps, and ride safe...

Stand Down!
Folks, I'm sorry. I warned you this mission would have to be FLEXIBLE! I had no idea it would have to be this flexible! As of right now, the schedule for tomorrow is cancelled! Sgt. Fearon has been in contact with my sister, David's mother, and he has changed his schedule to accommodate a visit with her.
Please remember that this visit is to honor Sgt. Fearon and David. I want all of us to do all we can to accommodate his wishes. He has stated from the start that he was wanting to meet with David's family, especially his mother and father, we had no idea how receptive she would be to his visit, and I am glad that they are going to have time together.
But, that also means at this time I have no idea of the time table for anything. Please stand down until I can get more information and post the new details.
Again, my apologies for the chaos!

Hey folks... this appears to be a total STAND DOWN. I just spoke to Sgt. Fearon, he's still in Memphis. As of this morning, Sgt. Fearon's wishes are to continue to Nashville this morning and meet my sister, David's mother, and follow her to the grave site. We have it set up where he will call me as they leave Nashville so I can leave here and meet them at the cemetery.
Sgt. Fearon did wish to express his gratitude for all the PGR members that honored David in April, and expessed his regrets that circumstances are happening like they are today.
I personally wish to than all that have honored David, expressed best wishes for Sgt. Fearon, and for those of you who have been following this mission so closely. Thank you...
If I do see a positive side to this, I've just received calls from two TV stations planning to cover the story dispite the chaos, Fox TV out of Nashville, and Channel 19 out of Huntsville.
