FINAL INTINERARY FOR MARINE CPL. ADAM A. GALVEZ
We will pay our final respects and honor for Cpl. Adam A. Galvez on Wednesday, August 30, 2006. The initial staging area will be the extreme northeast corner of the Lowe's Home Center parking lot at 4500 South 500 west, at 11:30 am sharp. Attatching flags, paperwork and final instructions will be given at that location. KSU at 12:15am and we will ride in formation to the Calvary Chapel at 460 West Century Drive, and be lined up parked and ready to greet the Galvez Family when they arrive around 12:45/1:00pm.
The service begins at 2:00pm. Those wishing to attend inside are welcome to do so, but need to be outside and ready to roll when it is time to head for the Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetary at Camp Williams. The entourage will go west on 4500 South to Redwood Road, turn left and continue south bound all the way to the cemetary. Riders with bikes pulling trailers and those riding trikes are asked to ride at the back of the main group for safety reasons. Riders in the main group, except those with trailers or on trikes, will be expected to perfom traffic control duties as needed.
All riders will be required to sign a waiver prior to leaving the initial staging area. Riders are requested to have full tanks. Water is being provided. Riders are reminded they are to conduct themselves in a professional semi-military fashion, with deportment fitting the solemn occasion showing proper respect and honor for our Fallen Hero, Cpl. Adam A Galvez.
Those having questions can call RC Bruce Clements at 550-6040.
RIDE WITH RESPECT, RIDE SAFELY, AND GOD BLESS ALL.

Kelly and I will definitely be there to honor this brave hero and show support and appreciation for the Galvez family.

Gary, the guys I normally would ride with are going to be attending to other matters ... would you like to meet some where and go down together?  Perhaps meeting in the Walgreens on Antelope just off I-15 parking lot and leave there NLT 10:00?

I just caught a news article about a 19 year-old Dan Dolan from Roy being the latest casualty on Sunday. Looks like Utah is getting hit hard this week.

RE: Dan Dolan Pending Mission. I have requested national confirm with DOD and open the initial 'Pending Mission' post according their requested procedures. I have assigned a Mission Ride Captain and Associate MRC already. I will handle initial contacts and make the 'Confirmed Mission' post at the appropriate time. For now, please keep looking for the OFFICIAL Pending Mission post from National.

To: the family and friends of a True American Hero, it is with a heavy heart that I send you my deepest and most sincere condolences. May God keep you in his arms and comfort you in your time of need. Our family lost our Hero 72 days ago and he was an A.N.G.I.C.O, U.S.M.C. I must tell you though that we too invited the P.G.R and their presents was the brightest light in a day of such darkness. I will keep you in my prayers and God bless you...... Ladies and Gentlemen of the PGR. I would like to say that it was a honor to ride with you today on this misson. My hat is off with pride to our Ride Captain Bruce. From my point of view he worked this like clockwork. Craig is was great to see you come up from Price as the State Captain to attend.

I am waiting with great anticipation the opportunity to read the Ri/C's mission report.

BZ to you Bruce.

Respectfully with regards.

It was an honor to serve on this mission.  In my (not-so-humble) opinion, the mission eas well organized (despite very short notivr) and all participating members displayed professionalism (kinda difficult in a volunteer organization) and humble respect for Cpl Galvez, his family and members of his church.

I was thanked repeatedly by members of the congregation, active duty servicemen (I had to turn around and thank THEM for their service to our country) and others such as DAV/VFW members.

I'm attaching a couple of pics and should have a all the pics on my web server soon.

Thank you all for giving me this opportunity to serve those who serve and protect us and our freedom.

It was a beautiful event...and thankfully the things that planned on disrupting the event failed to show...making the almost 100 Bikes and over 130 participants just happy to be able to pay our respects without any confrontations.

Bruce and Craig did a great job and everything went off without a hitch. It was an honor to be apart of this. Thanks to all that showed up..it was incredible to see that many flags lining the street in front of the chapal.

Thanks

Another one in the books. I'm anxiously awaiting the day when our services are no longer needed. Rest in peace Cpl Galvez, you served us proud, and we thank you for your service.

I was truly impressed with the showing today. I had the distinct impression that we'd have about 15-20 bikes at most. I was floored when I showed up at lowes and there were nearly 60 bikes there at 11:30 sharp.

This organization is a source of great pride in my life. I'm not sure if I've ever done something else that meant as much as this service does/should. Today reaffirmed that in a big way. Thanks to all of you for your support.

John

PS. Can anyone tell me who the girl was who came around shaking hands and telling us how grateful she was that we were there? I didn't get a chance to talk to her more than one sentence due to the family arriving (or something else official.. I can't remember for sure.)

As I understood it from her, she was the wife of Adams best friend that brought him home.  I let her know they were all heros, and that they were all appreciated and respected by the PGR and anyone else that truly understood what they were doing to protect our freedom.
