21 Aug 2006 3:53 PM Alert

For the folks traveling from the South of Cheyenne on I-25:

I think the best rally point for all would be Exit 9 to West Lincolnway, go left at the stop sign, Next set of lights turn left into Exxon gas station, aka the Crossroads Cafe and truck stop (2200 West Lincolnway). This will enable everyone to fuel up, if need be, utilize facilities, and possibly get some refreshment(s). It is only a short journey from there to the church.

I still have to get with the Cheyenne PD to see about blocking off parking for us and possibly an escort to take us to the church. Not sure what time we should head to the church as of yet. With others planning on being in attendance, maybe the earlier the better. It looks like we should have plenty of folks to block the family, and if we need to get to the church early, we should have several Cheyenne folks that could lead the rest of the folks to the church with ease. I'll try and firm up things with the CPD today.

As soon as I do, I'll let you know.

Matt Jones
Wyoming State Captain

People traveling from the west on I-80:

I think we will have the same rally point, with people riding westbound on I-80.  Take exit 358 and go .5 mile, turn left at the stop sign, and follow Lincolnway eastbound for 1.3 miles and turn left into the Crossroads Cafe and Truck Stop.

People traveling from the east on I-80:

For people traveling westbound on I-80 take Exit 359c (I-25 towards Casper) and go .7 mile.  Take Exit 9 (US 30) and continue .3 mile and take the West Lincolnway ramp approximately 170 feet, and turn left and continue .4 mile turning into the Crossroads Cafe and Truck Stop.

People traveling from the north on I-25:

For people traveling southbound on I-25, take Exit 9 and continue .5 mile.  Bear left and continue on the Lincolnway ramp approximately 173 feet, turn left onto Lincolnway, and continue .8 mile turning into the Crossroads Cafe and Truck Stop.

Thank you for attending, look forward to seeing you there . . .

Colorado & Wyoming PFC Arellano will arrive at DIA at 16:28 TODAY 8-25-06. I received this from the CAO and would like to provide an escort. I understand that not everyone can go all the way but I would like to see as many as possible escort for as far as they can.

Thank You

Gentlemen,

Our Soldier's remains will be arrive at Denver International Airport this afternoon on United Flight 511 arriving at 1628.  The family will be present and their 18 year son is the Body Escort.  My funeral Honors team will also be there.

The remains will travel from DIA to the funeral home in Wyoming tonight.  We haven't set any police escort due to traveling on the Interstate.

We appreciate your support!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a confirmed mission.  Pfc is currently in Dover and is expected to return to Cheyenne on Friday.  No confirmed time and place yet for services.  Services are expected to be on Monday or Tuesday (28th or 29th August).  When the CAO has the confirmed time and place he will call me and I will recon and post.

Thanks again to all those who have and will show respect to this fallen hero from Cheyenne, Wyoming.

My POC at the PA office just sent me the information listed above.  Since Wyoming isn't handling the Casulty Assistance, I will be making phone calls tomorrow morning to find out when/where services are to be held.  I expressed a little displeasure with finding out about this young man's demise via the Sunday paper before anything had been released from DOD chanels.  More to follow.
