I am so sad to hear of yet another American Hero bring called home prematurely by The Creator. I suppose He has more dire need for Private Blake than we do, in this realm.

To Joseph's family, friends & relatives, I can only offer my deepest condolences on the loss of son, brother and confidant. There is nothing, no words nor deeds that can ease your sadness at this time. I can only pray for Joseph, and you, and be ready to be called to serve in his honor, should you choose to have us.

I speak for all Patriot Guard Riders in Oregon, when I say: If called to honor, we shall.

God bless you, and ease your pain. Know that we hold Joseph in highest esteem for his sacrifice & service.

Yours,

Pvt. Blake
A great man once said, "Poor is the Nation that has no Heroes, Shameful is the one that, having them, Forgets".  We will never forget the duty, service, honor, faithfulness and sacrifice you have given to our nation.  You are now in the great cloud of witnesses cheering us on.  We will not falter, We will not fail, We will not weaken.

To the family of Pvt. Blake
I pray that our heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom. (Lincoln to Mrs. Bixby 21 Nov 1864).  We will continually be praying for your family at our church.  May God strengthen you.
