I'll keep checking back several times a day. It turns out that one of the women I know that works in a field office for my workplace is a cousin of Senior Airman Servais. I've already alerted my boss that if we are invited and the service isn't on Saturday, that I will be asking for a day off. From what the cousin said, this wonderful and dedicated family has a long history of military service. God Bless them all!

A simple verse for this hero:

Soar now like an eagle in the sky, as over all you’ve known you fly,
Soar up and into the light, Heaven’s gate is now in sight

Enter the fulfillment of your belief, where there is no sorrow or grief,

MISSION IS A GO!!

Still no solid time but is looking like Saturday the 26 is the date. The church is about 2 blocks from the cemetary so there will PROBABLY be a double flagline for the familiy. The staging will be at the La Crosse Area Harley Davidson dealer. Time as yet is still unknown. Updates to follow as info becomes available.

My sympathies to the family and friends of SrA Servais.  If the mission is the 26th I will, unfortunately, not be able to attend since I'll be in Chicago on that day.  Know that my thoughts will be with you all.

The final staging area for Minnesota will be at the new Kwik Trip in Stewartville. This is at the Southwest corner of I-90 / Hwy 63 interchange. Kwik Trip is approximately ¼ mile south of I-90. This station has high octane fuel, food, restrooms, etc. Once you are fueled up, please fall in line along Schumann Drive. This new road will not show up on Mapquest but trust me, it’s there. We will line up 2x2 for an easy departure. We should have a police blockade onto I-90.

Please follow this thread for specific times.

The Twin Cities Metro staging area will be at:

Petrol Pumper
11650 Courthouse Blvd
Inver Grove Hts, MN 55077

This is the truck stop on the east side of US-52 just north of the Pine Bend Oil Refinery in Inver Grove Heights / Rosemount.
From there it is 75 miles down to Rochester to meet up with everyone else from MN and head over as a group.

Everyone please remember to bring some water, food, etc. that you may need to be self sufficient for the day.
Most importantly - remember to bring your flag!

Thanks Birdie for the reminder on the flag.

And for the Twin Citiies and other northern riders, from Hwy 52 South, head through town and take the Hwy 63 Exit (Broadway) South. The new Stewartville Kwik Trip is around 4 miles south of Hwy 52. This is a bit out of the way for the Twin Cities group, but this is the only truck stop that's large enough to handle our group near Rochester.

Standing by in Mankato. I'm not a rider, so will be driving a car. I will be bringing several cases of water, and will meet the group staging at Mankato.

I am a Director at KEYC TV, and attended Lance Corporal Posivio's funeral in Welcome. I attended that funeral in my official capacity, but I will be attending this not as a member of the media, but a fellow American, grateful for all the sacrifices these men and women make. I am also a Resident Firefighter with Mankato Fire, and will be attending in uniform, for a brother and his family.
