my brothers and sisters of PGR,
Sunday we will pay respects to a good man who has devoted his life to protecting all of us. Our troops win our freedom and protect it abroad, our LEO's protect it at home. This man died in the line of duty. He died for you and me. Every day when these men and women put on the uniform, they don't know if they will go home. We ride Sunday not just for SGT Burkes, but to show all LEO that we are there for them and their families. So one more time I ask my friends from Al. Fl, Ga and all areas within reason, Let's ride togther and "do the right thing" Anyone coming thru Montgomery, let me know and we'll hook up'

I would like to commend Bill Lines ( Snap) for assisting the Blue Knights Alabama IV in arranging the mission for Sgt. Burkes.  The entire Blue Knights Chapters would like to extend their deepest regrets to the Burkes family in their time of sorrow.  Autauga County Sheriffs Office has not lost a brother or sister in over 20 years, and we would to ecxtend our sympathy to them  also.  The Law Enforcement family all weeps when a fellow officer is lost, and we all feel the pain of his family.  We would like for all officers in the State of Alabama to show their respect and colors as we honor our fallen brother.  Again thanks a million to Snap, you are truly an American, and you should be proud of which you stand.

It saddens me when we lose a homefront defender as I wore the badge for a time. Endless hours of boredom suddenly smashed by raging senseless violence. My heart goes out to the family, friends and department of SGT Burkes. Rest well Sir.

GHSORROW call me if you want to ride together. 706.662.6506

As a former wife of a Police Officer and Army Soldier, I feel this families pain. Whether military/police/firefighter ect.... they are all close knit brothers and sisters and a big family and I KNOW they all grieve together just as PGR grieves with them!!!!

Father, bless this family, and all that grieve with them during their time of loss. May you give them strength and comfort through this difficult time. Bless them with peace and wrap your loving arms around them and just let them know you are with them and that they are not bearing this sadness alone. Watch over this family Lord and bless them with your tender loving care, I ask all these things in Christ Jesus name. Amen.

Thank you Sgt. Burkes for the sacrifice you made to serve and protect each and every day. Rest in peace you are home with your Father now~

Thank you Schmidtrock for posting this on the Web-site, and thank you Snap for your assistance in setting up the ride for one of our fallen Brothers.
I am filled with pride to see the response to this Post for Sgt.Burkes. All of you make me so proud to be a member of PGR. and as a member of Al-IV Blue Knights. I did not personally know Sgt.Burkes, but he was one of us. HE worked to make his small corner of the world as safe as he could. And I know his family will be so proud to see all of you riding in respect and memory of their Dad and husband. I wish all of you a safe day and please ride SAFE to and from the service. .
