Subject: Pentagon Stone Transport

As a lot of you may already know, the PGR has been asked to transport and escort, state by state, the stone from the Pentagon to its final destination in Dodge City, Kansas. Boccie, WV State Captain, has asked me to RC our part of this mission.   I would like to see all available PGR members in the area participate in this special mission.  It is a great honor for us to be able to do this, and we also get to see a significant piece of history.  Right now, the tentative schedule is for the stone to be in the Wheeling area Tuesday evening, "rest" overnight, then proceed on to Ohio Wednesday.  We would leave the rest area near the WV/PA line on I-70 Wednesday a.m. to proceed onto Ohio.  Details are still being worked out, but I just wanted to give everyone in the area a "heads up" on this quite honorable mission.  Keep an eye on the WV forum and the special missions forum for further updates.  Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Yes indeed, the more the merrier!  Just got done scouting the route from Shanksville, PA over to where Rte. 31 joins I-70 south of Pittsburgh.  I hope a bunch can join us in Shanksville Tuesday afternoon for that ride, it's a nice one!  We'll be turning over the Memorial Stone to Ron just inside WV along Rte. 70.

The power & emotion of the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville is beyond words.  If you can't make this ride, and haven't been there yet ... trust me, it's worth the trip no matter how long it is!  It's quite easy to get to, too.

Final intinerary information will be posted on the special missions forum under Pentagon stone to Dodge City KS.  This pertaining to the area riders wanting to participate in the Wednesday morning transport from WV to OH.  Thanks
