Riding for Kirsten and her family.

My condolences to the family of Spc. Fike also. You are a fine example of what America is. Citizens involved in keeping America just what it is today. Free. Our freedom requires involvement in all areas. And unselfish acts by true Americans are what allows us to all be free.  May your body rest, your spirit fly high in the heavens and may your children know that your life was given for their freedom. God Bless America.  All gave some. Some gave all.

Thank you Spc. Fike

For the family of Spc. Kirsten Fike:

I can only imagine what you and your family have gone through since being notified of the death of Kirsten. I want you to know that you are not alone.  Hearts of families all over the United States are grieving with you and have your family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

LIFE...so fragile.    LOSS... so sudden.    HEART...so broken.

In time, there will come a day when the tears of sorrow

will softly flow into sighs of remembrance. Your heart will begin to heal itself.
Grieving will be interrupted by episodes of joy; & you will hear the whisper of hope.
There will come a day when you will welcome the pangs of remembrance

as a sun shower of the soul; a turning of the tide; the promise of peace.
There will come a day when you will risk loving,

go on believing, and treasure the remembering.

I wish that I could ease your pain and sadness, but it will be a long, slow and painful climb.  Pain this deep will never go entirely away, but I pray that as each day that passes the hurt becomes a little less. And the memories of a lifetime will sustain you. These memories are your keepsake that can never be taken away.  God has Kirsten in his keeping, but you have her forever in your thoughts and hearts. We pray that our Savior – in whose presence Kirsten now rests – will comfort you and ease the pain of this loss and that your memories of her will shine through the sadness.
