Received the following invitation and have National approval to attend as Patriot Guard Riders. I will plan to attend this event to help share the PGR mission.
My name is David Godbout; I represent the Freedom Bike Show and Honor Rally, held annually in K.C., MO. The heartbeat behind our event is to give recognition and show honor to the biking community for the positive contributions that are made by the various groups and individual bikers. The amount of money raised for charitable organizations, the investment made on behalf of children, the support of families, etc., that is generated by bikers and bike organizations in our region of the country is substantial.
Each year we select an organization or group to be featured for the work that they do. We have had the National Bikers Roundup, Bikers Against Child Abuse, and others, as our featured groups in the past.
I would like to invite the Patriot Guard - in whatever form or fashion that is best - to be our featured group at this year's show and rally. We need nothing from your organization except that some of individuals associated with the Patriot Guard and its activities be present for the afternoon's events. I can speak with whomever about the opportunity to give the best and most informative exposure for the organization for the purpose of educating the biking community as to who P.G. is, what you do, and opportunities to be involved.
The date of the show and rally is Sunday, September 17th; the location is in Northeast Kansas City. I have attached the flyers to this message. |

There is a Kansas City air show that same weekend. That may work in our favor by drawing more people to the bike event. I will tentatively plan to attend.

| The location is at the Sheffield Youth Center, 5700 Winner Road. It appears the event starts at 1400 till around 1830, but I will try and get more info. There is no mention of cost and the flyer states that dinner will be free for all riders. |

Alright you guys. If the date doesn't change, Ruffy and I will be there. 2 up on a big flag bike. She might be riding my 750 Honda by then. Shes been riding her 250 Honda to work and back, so shes getting comfortable with bikes. If thats alright with you guys that is?? The knees are doing great and I'll be leaving the flags at home this time. Will probably see you there.

| AT EASE!! Did I miss the part where cage PGR members aren't included? The invite was to PGR members and I will make sure that point is agreed. I'll post more as it becomes available. Okay, you all can fall out of formation now!! <~~ (ROTFLMAO at the thought of that) |

Sheffield is West of I-435, and South of 24 Highway (Independence Ave). The police block off the streets for the event, which is inexpensive, and good rublic relations. Count me in.

I would love to attend. I will be waiting for further information. Is there a plan to assemble and arrive in a group or are we just going straight to the event? Standing by.

Well, looks like I will be in Kansas City on Sunday and Monday. Heading to Lake of the Ozarks in the morning (Fri.). Be there thru Sat. evening or Sun. morning.
It would be great to show up for this. Will be in the company truck, but the bike show should be interesting.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend either Mission on Saturday due to working the conference @ Tan-Tar-A Resort. Have to educate those MO Pain Initiative Nurses on Alternative Healthcare.
Everyone have a safe riding weekend.

I'll be at the Walmart on Hillcrest at 2:00pm. I plan on leaving at 2:15. We'll be taking I-435 N.

We'll take Independence Ave west to Winner Rd. We'll be stoping at the bank to Flag up.

Anticipate leaving the bank around 2:45/3:00 pm to go to the Youth Center, which is the red box on the map shown above. That will give anyone that wants to, time to register for the bike show. Dinner starts at 3:00, so come hungry!!
