As many of you know, last week was very busy for Indiana PGR. I won't list all the events but there was a conflict with SGM McLochlin and the visit to the IN Veterans Home in West Lafayette on Sunday.
That being said, the turnout was just right with 25 people & 23 bikes. The plan was for a bike display for the residents along with a cookout, all outdoors. With temps. expected to be in the mid 90s, a decision was made by the staff to move indoors for the safety of the residents. I don't think any of us were disappointed by that decision.
All went well with PGR escorting residents to the dining area from different floors or building. We assisted in serving them and just visited. The IVH Recreational Department did a great job and allowed us to enjoy the time with the residents as well as directing us what needed to be done.
A couple of special thank you's go to my daughter, Misty, who helped at registration & then at IVH; Renee (little aponi)and McDonalds for their coffee donation. Hope to see you at future missions Renee. And last but not least, Sonya, Joe and the rest of the Recreation Dept. for their hospitality, guidance and hard work. We will see you in the future as it was decided to do more at the IVH
Respectfully submitted,
Bob Clugh IN Ride Captain Patriot Guard Riders
