It's an 8 hour ride from here, but DEFINITELY something I want to participate in. Am adding this thread to my watch list. God willing and if I can get an overnight babysitter for my son, I will be there. Does anyone know what if any restrictions might apply to foreign nationals (I am Canadian) on US military bases? Would hate to get down there to find out I wasn't allowed on base, especially if there is something I can do ahead of time to get necessary permission.

Doc - In addition to PGR, How about printing up a bunch of flyers to take to various bike nights in Cincy, Dayton, Columbus, Toledo, Cleveland? I think it would be great to get as many bikes as, say, a good night at Jackass Flats in Dayton. There are riders who are not PGR who either 1) might like to join or 2) might like to attend this kind of thing. I can take responsibility for printing and mailing these out to people if we can identify people in the various communities.

Would you mind a couple from Indiana. My wife and I are planning a trip to the AF Museum around that time and we would like to coincide our trip with this great event. I am AF Reserve Safety and can get on base with all the right safety gear.

Tim and Sue Cahill, I don't know who, if any one person, is suppose to answer your question, but I can tell you this. The PGR has no state lines when it comes to honoring our men and women in uniform. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say your are more than welcome. The more the better. I just recently accompanied Indiana PGR on the Pentagon Stone transport to Indianapolis and was dubbed an Honorary Hoosier for my participation with them. So if necessary, we will dub you two honorary Buckeyes, lol. Welcome Aboard.

If you can read this, Thank a Teacher. If you're reading it in English, Thank a Soldier.

Dang Skippy you are welcome. And the Idea of making them Hinorary Buckeyes is a must, in fact I even have some Buckeyes from the tree in my front yard that I can add to the certificate. I know there has been others asking if it is okay. I am new to PGR myself but I have been told there is no state lines just as Groundhog said. Welcome one and all our heros need your support.

Hey Doc,

MaddMax here again (Kevin Burns)...I checked with the WPAFB Public Affairs office and they said they would need to coordinate any homecoming directly with the returning units' PA office.
What we need is their unit designation, base assigned and their unit PA office info...a name or phone number would be great.
They made it sound like they won't talk to any private group at all for this event until they coordinate this with the returning unit.

Let me know whatever you can find out, thanks!!

MaddMax, I passed this bit of info on to the guy with the unit contact. As soon as I get anything back from him I will let everyone know.

I don't know how this would work. This is something that may have to go thru Nationals to get the ok. Maybe one of the Ride Captains can give us more insite to doing something like this.

If we can work it so we stange in front of the AF Museum, that would be much better all around. There is plenty of room and  this way we don't have to deal with all the requirements of getting on Wright Patterson.  I work in Area B at Wright Patt, right beside the AF Museum.    They PA folks at Wright Patterson should be able to hook us up for this event and also provide media support.  In my mind this is considered a high profile event and the media should be all over it.  This is a awesome way to show our support and honor returning brothers and sisters.  Hopefully the media will interview the PGR during this event so we can share our purpose.

I have an idea for this. If the ones that can get on base can meet them at the flight line and lead them to the off base where the others can join the procession. I can get on base and know others from our unit (at least 10) that would love to help in this welcome home mission.
If there is anything I can do to assist please let me know.

My wife and I are standing by in Kokomo Indiana awaiting date and time. I'm a MSgt and can get on base. We'll ride unless the weather is nasty, then we'll trailer over. We'll be getting a room so we can stay over and visit the air museum while we're there. Anyone else wanting to go to the museum with us? In January I'm going over to the sandbox.
