It is hard  on anyone when they loose someone they love, then to have a protest group to come to a memorial service and say bad thing about them is truley a crime or should be. i want to thank  Rick and his wife for coming to buckhannon wv. it was a cold day i know , we only had 3 bikes but the support from other members was there and i mean right on. the city did have us to far from the protestors but everything turned out ok. i did go to where the protestors were . i had been a military police for 12 years, so i learned to read people . i saw a man in the group looked to be in his late 50s getting upset i took him by the hand looked deep in his eyes and told him , brother they are not worth it. he looked at me with great big tears filling his eyes, told me he was a miner and was in great pain . i assured him i knew what he was feeling. the police were also there and were very good . the wv state police were doing there jobs. i then asked the miner to help me sing to them . he said with a smile what we going to sing to them i looked at him and smiled you will know it when i start it. it was getting on to be around time to start the memorial. so i remembered an army  song we marched to. everyone in the area joined with me in singing  na na na na    na na na na ha hay hay good bye . the crowd was very happy to see the troopers escort them to the 2 rented vans that they came it . we then gave cheers to the state troopers for the protection from the 15 members of a hate group... lol... that we should all continue to pray for.   thanks to all who attended and i pray all made it home safe. god speed to you all ,love terry goff, buckhannon .west virginia.

It was great how many came out to stand with us.

I believe we had around 8 registered PGR members present, a car club, a group of emergency personnel, firefighters, some members from WV ABATE (who left an affair in Charleston and drove up to stand with us for respect to the miners!), and of course a large showing from the community. Our PGR members drove in from all over the state, and Waitaminit even rode over from PA.

You cant help but feel proud when people come togther like that to show their respect.

I want to thank everyone for their support. The miners and their families deserve it!

Rick,

Saying "thank you" doesn't quite seem enough to express what I feel about you and the other members of the PGR who made the trip to Buckhannon for the Memorial Service of our Sago miners. I'm sure the families were comforted by your presence and the respect you showed their loved ones. The cold blustery winter winds, like fred Phelps and his "followers", were no match for your warm spirits. You make me proud to be an American.

i truly regret not being able to be there in person. though i wasn't there in person, i was there in spirit. i watched the entire memorial on CNN, and i truly felt the mourners pain and saddness over their loss.  everybody did a great job honoring these guys.  but one thing that truly amused be and made me chuckle, on every outside shot of the chappel i only saw a glipse  of the ugs.  those b***ards didn't get the attention they craved, my brothers and sisters protect the families from the hate mongers, and the sole survivor is improving in condition each passing second. another win for the riders, the families, and human beings. now THAT'S a TRUE act of god, and i am D*MN proud to be a part of this

Guitarman,
I realize you're a relatively new member, but I need to caution you on a couple of things.  This is a family site.  We have a lot of fallen soldier's families that come into this site and we want to keep our language appropriate for all ages.  Additionally, we try to keep our references to UG's to a minimum.  They are not why we are here or our focus.  We also have a lot of media, LEO, clergy and funeral personnel monitoring our site.  We want to always put our best foot forward.
Thanks for your cooperation.
Jeff
