The Fallen...
Through Their Memory
They Still Give...

We thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday
And days before that too.

We think of you in silence
We often speak your name.

Now all we have are memories
And your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake
With which we'll never part

God has you in His keeping
We have you in our Heart.

Life is unpredictable, so to try and predict what is ahead is only asking for disappointment. Just live it as we can. Love and love of life will help us be guided in our decisions as we go forward.

SFC (Ret) Black,

Thank you for your willingness, as a military veteran, to defend the United States of America and her freedoms and interests. Thank you also, as a member of the law enforcement/EMS family for your commitment to the community to which you served. Your untimely death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of your family, friends, military brothers and sisters, law enforcement/EMS brothers and sisters, all those who appreciate their safety, all who truly appreciate their freedom, and each and every member of the Patriot Guard Riders. We are all proud of your service and dedication in that which you believed in and fought for in both the military and your community. Your missions are now complete. You are truly an American hero and the community to whom you served, and the world in which we live are safer places because of your commitment as a community servant and to freedom itself. Mark, may you rest in the knowledge that your duty was well done and you have the thanks of an entire nation for your sacrifice and your service. I know that you will now be in the company of your fellow veterans who have gone before you and who will welcome you at the Gates upon your arrival. Stand down now and know that we will carry on your legacy of freedom for all our citizens. To your family and friends I ask that God comfort them now in their time of despair and remain with them as they adjust to their loss.
