If this goes through Mit to Northern IL, I would like to help.

I remember watching this on TV when it happened and was never more proud to be a Cub fan and American when he did this. I've since read several interviews that Rick has given and he said that he would do it again if given the opportunity.

I remember a pony express statement.  Have a crew of several motocycles relay the flag.  Distances will be according to how many riders or groups of riders there are to take it.

I can get a panama city crew to join in on any part of 75 that you need us to.

Kool

Hey guys, Richard posted what he knew when he knew it. I was just handed this mission yesterday and have spent most of today talking to the family involved. They are doing this to promote PGR. They believe totally in our cause. All info will be posted here, but I will move the thread to special misssions. The planning is rather involved but will be on line by Monday PM. Mrs. Monday will be in DC to support the "Flag Ammendment" Many of you will be asked to participate in this event. Please be patient as we map things out. "Onion" from Ind. started this and will be part of it.
This flag has a long way to tevel in our care, I'll do my best to pass it through the maximum number of hands on the wat to L.A. from Florida, vua a whole lot of states.

Not complaining about what happened.  The idea was thrown out with no limits and of course we'll run it everywhere.  He asked we dumped, INDY, I don't know how else you could've tested the waters, but don't think anyone meant any harm.  Yank us all back in and lets go do this ride!   Didn't have a box to stay in, we throw out ideas and whoever ends up in charge can filter them.  Not used to being ina box anyway, usually it's a handbasket and we know where that's going..

BTW I think in Indiana it's  "You guys ain't right", Iwould've thunk down south it's "Y'all ain't right"

Looking forward to the Mission.

I have never maintained any bad feelings for longer that 3 seconds. I am all for the Mission - it is in capable hands - Snap - and the Indiana side is in capable hands - Onion. They are on it and all will be right in the end. We do what we do because we care and many have differing opinions but in the end it is done how it has to be done and all accept the reality of it including me.

Standing By in Indy.

Anyone remember what Rick Monday's number was when he was with the Cubs?

Thanks so much Snap for including your Georgia neighbors. We are doing a statewide posting and making this mission available to all our sports fans and patriots. Waiting with great anticipation for this feel good mission. We will pick it up on the Florida line and deliver it with pride to our Alabama neighbors.

Thanks,

A person is not judged a Hero by the way he died-rather by the way he lived.

The price of freedom is visible at any Veteran's Hospital.

If you want to salute, or cover your heart with your hand, or just stand silently holding the flag, it's your choice. The only thing I require is that you do it in a respectful manner. I am a combat veteran. I served my country. I led young men and boys face to face in combat with their enemy. I also am a disabled veteran. War related. I have certainly earned the right to salute in a respectful manner but my salute is no more important than any nonveteran standing in our flag line. My love for America and my respect for our fallen warriors is no more or no less important than anyone else that comes to our PGR mission. I have fought for my country and I will continue to fight for the rights of every person that stands in our flag line.

Hi:
Ah, since this flag is from the 101st. would it not be appropriate since the flag is in Nashville to re-route it to  Ft. Campbell, Ky home of the 101 and maybe tie it in somehow for the family members there and then proceed up the Pennyrile to Henderson, KY/Evansville, IN where you can catch I-64 or go North to Indy.

This would only take the flag maybe 90-110 miles off the original route but it seems a bit rude to bypass the base when you are that close.

Just a thought.

Our thinking in Oklahoma is to try and route it thru as many cities and towns as we can who have lost sons and daughters in the War on Terror and or course The Oklahoma City Memorial...

Man I get all choked up as a Dodger fan listening to Vin Scully make the call on that...\

What a great moment in baseball history....
