DoD Identifies Marine Casualties

            The Department of Defense announced today the death of two Marines who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

 

            Cpl. Richard A. Bennett, 25, of Girard, Kan.

 

            [b]Capt. Nathanael J. Doring, 31, of Apple Valley, Minn.[/b]

 

            Both died May 30, following a non-hostile helicopter accident near Al Taqaddum, Iraq, on May 27.  Both were assigned to Marine Light/Attack Helicopter Squadron-169, Marine Aircraft Group-39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

To you Capt., the nation mourns, and the PGR Family stands proud to honor you and respect you for your service, courage and sacrifice in the fight for freedom and peace. The burden of combat has been lifted from your shoulders, and the watch taken up by others, so rest in peace Marine! You'll be remembered as an American Hero always.

We will begin working on this as soon as the Posivio mission is complete on Saturday.
Updates will be posted by the state leadership when they are available, please bear with us until this happens.

To the Doring family, please know that yours and Nathaniel's sacrifice will not go unnoticed or be forgotten by the people of Minnesota. He is a true American hero and shall be honored as such.
