WMUR TV has announced that . -- A New Hamsphire soldier from Littleton has been killed in battle.

Army Specialist David Stelmat was killed Saturday.

The military says Stelmat and two other soldiers died when a roadside bomb struck their Humvee.

The 27-year-old was a medic attached to the 1132nd Military Police and was a member of the New Hampshire Army National Guard.

His mother lives in Littleton, his two sisters live in California and his father, stepmother and half siblings live in ohio.

Initial contact indicates that the family is looking for privacy at this time.  We will update as information becomes available.
