"The nation which forgets its defenders will be itself forgotten." - Calvin Coolidge, (1872-1933)
It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. That ripple builds others. Those ripples - crossing each other from a million different centers of energy - build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and injustice.

Weapon in my hand, ready to roll Here we go again- our nightly patrol. Over here it’s the same thing, night after night Only difference it seems is whether or not there’s a fight. Sometimes it is easy-going, calm as can be It’s times like that which worry me. Gotta stay alert cause you never know If there is something ahead that’s gonna blow. One more time we’ll make our rounds Always praying to make it back to our “home” grounds. But if by enemy hands we are taken out tonight Just know it won’t be easy, it will be one hell of a fight. Whether we’re Army, Navy, Air Force or Marine We are the toughest boys you have ever seen.

Our most sincere condolences to the family and friends at this time of loss and sorrow.
The sorrow of the faithful is not that of permanent loss, but the tender sense of sadness that comes in saying good-bye for now to someone we love. May today's sorrow give way to the peace and comfort of God's love.

Schaub, Navy Vietnam Veteran who by his willingness to server his nation set an example for the thousands that followed him. Without heroes like James my family and I would not be able to lay our heads down at night knowing that we are safe and that the freedoms we cherish have been preserved for another day. Hero Down / Kickstands Up
Firefighters don't choose the fires; The Armed Forces don't choose the wars. The alarm sounds: we go.
And then came a rumbling felt - and heard - from miles away. It was the Patriot Guard, As they rumbled away, retired Marine Col. Don Beaver, one the parade's organizers, flashed a smile.
"That," he said, "is the sound of patriotism."
