Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of
1st Lt. Jason D. Mann. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know
your loved one was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with
you always. He will never be forgotten.
Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Jason.
Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.
Morning
Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.
Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.
Any service related death, on or off duty, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.
I offer you my services, such as they are. If you want to talk, feel free to get in touch with me thru the PGR messaging. I WILL return your call/message. ANYTIME!
In the meantime know that my wife's and my prayers are with you.

My son served under Lt. Mann in Afghanistan, and truly respected his commanding officer. Lt. Mann was the most honorable, dedicated officer any mother could wish to have leading her son in battle in Afghanistan. He took the time to communicate home to us on the status of our loved ones, which was deeply appreciated. His honest caring for the men he led was evident in his writings, as was his love for his Country, his Wife and Daughter and the Marines. We are deeply devestated by the loss of this heroic Marine. His wife and daughter are in our prayers. |
