Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of
PO1 Ronald Spivey, USNR. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. He is
one of America's Heroes that will never be forgotten.
Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Ronald.
Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.
Morning
Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

Ron was an outstanding man by every yardstick you might measure him. He was good husband, married for some 25 years, a great father of two fine boys. He was a good brother, a good brother-in-law. He was a proud veteran who loved his country. He worked hard and was rewarded for that hard work.
He liked people. He cared about people. He volunteered his time. I never heard a bad word said about Ron. You never expect to get this kind of news out of the blue, so sudden. He came from a hard beginning and never let is slow him down. He'll be sorely missed.
My prayers go out to his family. |

| To the family of Ron Spivey, Thank you for sharing him, not only with his military family and postal customers but the world. His presence touch people in ways that he probably didn't know about. I know that my son thought highly of him and expressed that to his father and me. I had looked forward to meeting Ron and sharing experiences with the Reserves and the postal service. I regret that did not come to pass. Take confort in that Ron will never really die. His influence can be seen in his children, his co-workers and the members of his unit. The things and values that he taught will be shared and remembered. I am so sorry for your loss and if there is anything that we can do, please let us know. Your son can tell our son, Steven.

As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.
Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.
Any service related death, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.
I offer you my services, such as they are. If you want to talk, feel free to get in touch with me thru the PGR messaging. I WILL return your call/message. ANYTIME!
In the meantime know that my wife's and my prayers are with you.
