Final Itinerary

SGT John Kyle Daggett
US Army

Phoenix, AZ

30 May /ANC, 02 Jun 08

This mission is a Memorial service for Kyle, a celebration of his life. He grew up in the Cave Creek area, graduated from Pinnacle High School in 2005, and joined the US Army. Kyle's final resting place will be Arlington National Cemetery. That fact, by its self, speaks volumes about the character of this young man. I'm sure this will be a well attended service.

Date: May 30, 2008

Staging Time:
Noon at Highland Church

Location:

Highlands Church

9050 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd

Scottsdale, AZ

Map; http://tinyurl.com/5tbof4
Service to begin at 1300hrs (1:00pm)

Following the church service, we will escort his family to Brett's Barn in the West World complex for a reception. The PGR has been invited to attend this function as well. <script></script>

********************************************************************************
The family of Sgt John K Daggett has invited the PGR to participate.  This will include the funeral at ANC with a Memorial Service in Arizona.

Please watch for more information as it becomes available.

Final Inspection

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining.
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now,soldier.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep....
Though I worked a lot of overtime.
When the bills just got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord.
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don’t, I’ll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now,soldier
you’ve borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets;
you’ve done your time in Hell."

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, John.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.
