I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero who stood tall for his homeland in this very sad time in your lives, but remember that you knew a hero first hand while the rest of us just get to hear about their heroic deeds. My prayers are that our GOD may bring peace and comfort to all of you during this tragic time. Please know that not just me , but a country full of people like me owe you a debt that can never be repaid. But please know that your loved one is now serving in the Army of our LORD in heaven, and the LORD said if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and recieve you unto myself that where I am there you may be also. Know that it says in the Bible in 2nd Corinthians 5:8 , we are confident I say , willing rather to be absent from the body and present with the LORD. No one can ever say that your loved one isn't a HERO, they were willing to serve that the rest of us may enjoy the freedom we do today, and the sacrifice you and your family have endured so our nation can remain the home of the free because of the brave. We are all brothers and sisters in arms and we don't forget one of our own, rest in peace my comrade, your mission is complete and now it's time for you to rest. May GOD Bless each and everyone of you.

Welcome home Lt Eastman. Our heart-felt condolences to the Eastman family and friends in the loss of Arthur. Thank you for his service to this great country. Our prayers go out to God for you in this time of loss. Arthur served to give us the freedom we now enjoy so much and for that he is one of the GREAT AMERICAN HEROS of the land. God bless your family and friends. Wish I could have shaken his hand and told him thank you myself.

I wish to offer my sincere prayers and condolences to the family and friends of 2LT Eastman. Whose service to this country will never be forgotten by those who have gone before and those yet to serve. May the family find strength and peace in Gods grace.

Welcome home, Lt. Eastman.

My father flew in New Guinea at the same time as Lt. Eastman.  They served in difficult conditions and flew over remote, rugged terrain covered with tropical jungles.  I am pleased that his remains have finally been returned to American soil and that his family and friends finally have closure.

The F-5E-2 was a photo reconnaissance version of the P-38 Lightning fighter.

I offer my thanks for the true character that is embodied in this American soldier. May your sorrow be tempered by the fact that we now honor a true hero who answered the call to serve his country and dedicate a precious segment of his life to freedom.
