As with any volunteer organization, don’t volunteer for a job unless you have the knowledge and time to do the job right. Anything less is a disservice to the organization.

Your rest is well deserved; we have the watch!

We ride hundreds of miles for funerals here in the States. I, for one, would swap the Stars and Stripes for a Union Jack, if there were a bridge to get us there, for the benefit of your family.

We who are far from the sounds of battle, owe to such men as PVT Damien R. Jackson , an everlasting debt of graditude for their sacrifice. I have never been able to agree with the expression "gave his life for his country", because if you've been in combat, you understand that you are placing all of your tomorrows, all hopes and dreams, the warmth of home and family, everything that is dear is put on the line, and these things may be taken from us, but never given away. The enormity of the present world situation is that each and every one of us has as much to lose. And I for one, know that every time I enjoy the sun rising, look into the face of a child or grandchild, these blessings have not been lightly arrived at. And it is with profound appreciation for the service of Damien Jackson and the loss suffered by his family and loved ones, that I pray that our Almighty Father will ease their pain.

"O God, our help in ages past, Our hope for years to come, Our shelter from the stormy blast, And our eternal home!"
