Cpl Trevor Sterling McDavid, age 31, from Sudbury, Ontario, was killed Thursday morning in the crash of a
Canadian Forces Search and Rescue helicopter during a training mission.
Cpl McDavid leaves a wife and two daughters.
On

rescue and a desire to save the lives of others.

| We are truely blessed that soldiers like CPL Trevor McDavid have passed this way. And it is a very sad fact that we know them not until they fall in the course of their duties. And as a soldier, I hold those who train and stand ready to come to the rescue of the fallen, -at great risk to themselves-as in the highest order of heroes. I believe that in life, angels flew with him, and now he flies with the angels. There are just no words adequate to the occasion; but I must offer my deepest regrets and sympathy to Trevor McDavid's wife, his children, and all his family and comrades. May God Bless you all, bring you peace, and ease your pain. |

A Soldier's Prayer (author unknown)
Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die.
