Master-Cpl Kirk Noel, age 33, from St. Anthony, Newfoundland, was killed Thursday morning in the crash of a Canadian Forces Search and Rescue helicopter during a training mission.

Master-Cpl Noel was single.

On behalf of the Patriot Guard Riders, our sincerest condolences on the loss of a Canadian Hero. It takes a brave airman to fly search and rescue and a desire to save the lives of others.

My regrets and sympathy to the family and friends of Master-Cpl Kirk Noel of 413 Transport and Rescue Squadron. When we consider the qualities of such men as Master-Cpl Noel, who risk all even in training exercises in order to be prepared to save others, eternal honor is their due. I pray that the God of Our Fathers will always watch over his loved ones, protect them, and give them solace.
