Sgt Duane Brazil, age 39, from Gander, Newfoundland, was killed Thursday morning in the crash of a Canadian Forces Search and Rescue helicopter during a training mission.
Sgt Brazil leaves a wife and two daughters.
On behalf of the Patriot Guard Riders, our sincerest condolences on the loss of a Canadian Hero. It takes a brave airman to fly search and rescue and a desire to save the lives of others.

As with any volunteer organization, don’t volunteer for a job unless you have the knowledge and time to do the job right. Anything less is a disservice to the organization.

A Soldier's Prayer (author unknown)
Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die.
