The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of CPL Joshua Harris, USMC, to join in a Welcome Home Celebration. CPL Harris has recently returned from service to our country for a 20 day leave. We are being graciously asked to provide a MC ride into the place of celebration, flags unfurled, where we will meet and greet with Joshua, his family and friends.

It is important to know that father Mike Harris, veteran, is a STRONG supporter and member of PGR. Many of you have met him on missions in our region where he stood in silent honor of our heroes who gave their all for our freedoms. The tentative schedule for this Welcome Home Celebration is as follows:

Staging: 9:15 AM Sheetz Gas Station (address/location coming soon)
Arrival at Church for reception: 10:00 AM (address/location coming soon)

As always, questions can come directly to me at:

Our debt to the Heroic men and Valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid . They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices
(President Harry S. Truman)

During these days of many trials and tribulations that our land of the free are facing, let us remember to hold our heads up high in remembrance for those who gave thier life for our freedom and those that are still in harms way for this cause. Pray for the brokenhearted and proclaim victory for those who are held captive. Lord, You are the light of the world and we declare You to be Lord over every nation. We know your light shines in darkness and the darkness does not always comprehend, but we also know You light will always prevail. Amen.

MISSION REPORT: Welcome Home CPL Joshua Harris, Martinsville, VA 18 OCT, 08

It was truly an honor to ride into “New Life Community Church” in Ridgeway, Virginia with approximately 15 bikes, flags flying and engines revving. Standing in front of the church was CPL Joshua Harris, family and friends.

We took time to join in fellowship inside with coffee, donut, soda, stories, hugs, pictures and some heartfelt gratitude that Joshua was home safe and sound. We had riders from Roanoke, Danville, New River Valley, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach and more showing their respects and joy at this time of celebration.

I, personally, wish to thank Mike Harris, father and PGR member, for inviting us to be present in this time. Blessings to you all and WELCOME HOME, JOSHUA…WE ARE PROUD OF YOU….

The following link should take you to some of the pix I took at the gathering. I know that many others exist out there…..feel free to share!!!!
