HOTH-Veteran's BBQ/Meet and Greet, 12 Oct., 2008, 1300 hours--Walla Walla, WA

Ladies and Gentlemen of The Patriot Guard Riders,

It is with tremendous honor that I pass on a request for your presence in Walla Walla, Washington on Sunday, October 12th at 1300 hours.  To meet and honor our veterans residing at the:

Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center

We have been invited by the VA staff to participate in a BBQ and Meet and Greet with our nation's heroes.  What a great time to share our love of country, show our support of veterans everywhere, and most importantly honor our brothers and sisters who have gone before us. We need an RSVP so the hospital can prepare the proper amount of food, see e-mails below for RSVP information.

The VA has asked for some very specific donations of the Patriot Guard:

1.)    Your presence at the BBQ

2.)    A desert or salad for the BBQ*

3.)    DVDs (please no war or explicit drug related content per VA)

4.)    Wii games for the residents of the VA Center

5.)    RSVP to Neal "Stretch" Miller  neal.c.miller@gmail.com or

Roxanne Nunes roxien79@yahoo.com  No later than 3 October, 2008.

*It has been suggested that if you don't want to carry a coconut cream pie, salad or some variation of that in your saddlebag, we will provide a donation basket and purchase desert and salad items locally in Walla Walla.  Leftover monies will be given directly to the VA Center for miscellaneous needs.

 RIDE PLAN:

Meet at the Burbank Quik-Mart, 600 West Humorist Road, Burbank, WA. MAP HERE

VA Center Destination:  77 Wainwright Drive, Walla Walla, WA  99362

 R/C Arrives: 10:50

 Staging time:  11:20

 Mission briefing: 11:40

 KSU: 12:00

*Please note that there is a lot of construction in and around Walla Walla right now.  This will be addressed at the ride briefing.
