Deployment Ceremony-Co. C, 33rd Brigade-Carbondale, IL-07 SEPT 08

 

Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to provide a flag line as the Illinois National Guardsmen from the Carbondale armory participate Sunday in a deployment ceremony in the city’s civic center.  The soldiers, joining approximately 3,000 other Guardsmen in the largest overseas deployment from Illinois since World War II, will be part of the 33rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team going to Afghanistan.

 

The deployment ceremony is at 10:30 a.m. inside the civic center at 200 S. Illinois Ave.

 

STAGING:  At the civic center

TIME:  9:30 AM
