Please remember to leave a reply to this thread
showing your appreciation of the troops. We plan on compiling them into a

CONFIRMED HOTH MISSION: Homecoming Ceremonies for the 288th in Houston MS
On:
Saturday Sept. 6, 2008
The PGR has been invited to participate in the Homecoming Ceremonies for the 288th in Houston, MS on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008. The Soldiers plan to march to the Ceremonies Saturday afternoon. The PGR will form flag lines to line both sides of Bus. Hwy. 15 between the two locations.
STAGING: Motorcycles and flag-hauling vehicles will stage and park on a to-be-determined side of the Courthouse at 2:30 PM(1430hrs), then form the flag lines. After the 288th arrives, the Ceremonies will begin, including the return presentation of the PGR Flag we presented to the 288th on June 10, 2007 at their send-off to Iraq.
DINNER RUN: Immediately following the Ceremonies, at approximately 4:00 PM(1600hrs), arrangements have been made for all participants to convoy to SEAFOOD JUNCTION in Algoma, approximately 20 miles North on Hwy. 15, for dinner and a meet-n-greet. Please invite all your riding friends/groups to join us for the Ceremonies and the dinner run. Since we all will be seated together at the restaurant, we will need a rough count on the number of participants by Friday, the 5th. Please contact me below if you have any questions.
Don Mckibben will be RC for this mission. "UncleDon" dmckibben@wildblue.net

Trust that we support you, whatever your mission is, and wherever you serve, to protect our Freedom! Glad you are coming home!
I am proud of and thankful for your service, and I am forever grateful for the heritage of military service in my "family": My dad, a non-wartime Army Veteran, who served in Germany; my uncle, who recently died of cancer in March, a Vietnam Veteran, a Marine fighter pilot, and later a flight instructor at the Meridian, MS, McCain Naval Air Base; the brother of my best friend, a Vietnam Vet.; my cousin, an Army Vet., who did a tour in Iraq and who helped provide defensive ground support for the soldiers who captured Sadam Hussein; my friend, Captain Andrew Robertson, 155th MS Army National Guard, Iraq Vet., who is scheduled to go back to Iraq sometime soon.
Copying the quote from a previous reply: "Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: 1. Jesus Christ. 2. The American G.I. One died for your soul, the other for your Freedom." God bless you all, and God bless America! Jackson, MS PGR |
