MD NATIONAL GUARD SEND-OFF
Camp Fretterd, 4 September 2008
This is the final itinerary for the Patriot Guard mission to honor and give a warm send off to members of the Md. National Guard on their deployment in Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan).
They will be departing on Thursday, 4 September from Camp Fretterd, Reisterstown Md. There will be a short ceremony and then a possible escort to BWI airport. LEO escort will not be available.
Your Ride Captain will be “Chief” Bill Staats who can be reached on his cell phone at 410-404-2590
Staging will be 0900 – 0920 at:
Reisterstown Village Shopping Center
48 Main St. (Reisterstown Rd.)
Reisterstown, Md.

All essential services are available at the Staging Location (gas & coffee). We will leave there at 0920 for the short ride to Camp Fretterd, approx.2 miles north on Rt.30 (Hanover Pike) to be in position by 0930 for ceremonies to begin at 1000. Installation requirements of reflective vests, full finger gloves, and long sleeves will not be required for this mission. All state mandated requirements, helmets, etc… are still in effect.
Weather forecast is for temperatures in the mid to upper 80’s and partly cloudy. Dress appropriately and remember to hydrate. It’s still summer don’t forget.
Please bring along your 3x5 flags, a smile on your face, and sunshine in your hearts. We want these soldiers to remember their Send Off from the PGR until we can escort them safely home. ====================================================
Maryland Patriot Guard!
A Maryland Army Guard, embedded Training Team from Camp Fretterd, Reisterstown, MD is deploying to Afghanistan. The Patriot Guard has been asked to help see them off at the Armory with a short escort .
The Farewell will be 4 September from 1000-1200 hrs at the 29th Division Hall on Camp Fretterd. Current plan is to escort the bus.

Rally information and times will be posted as soon as available. Other Mission details if required will be posted at that time as well.
Please come out and say thanks to our deploying troops! They deserve a great Send-Off.
