Godspeed and safe journey to the Soldiers of the 353rd Trans. Thank you for volunteering to serve America. ________________________________________________________________________________________________
Green Bay was my home when I enlisted in 1971. Great town, good people. Lived out Nicolet Dr/Rd? on Peterson Rd, past UWGB. Back then there were only 3 homes on the street, neighbors owned music store on University Ave, Petersen Music.

Darn but I wanted to make this one. However fate seems to have gotten in the way. I trust the members that did attend helped give the 353rd a healthy send off.

| ~ FINAL MISSION REPORT ~ It was our extreme honor to stand in support for all you soldiers as you departed Green Bay yesterday. We had 12 bikes & 14 PGR's attend. We arrived at 7:30 AM to do the flag preset in front of the Armory. We then reformed at 10:30 AM in the motorpool area to stand in silent vigil during the ceremonies. We presented our colors to them to take to Iraq & fly with their unit banner. We departed under police escort with the bikes for a 70 mile run. As we went by Doc's Harley at Bonduel, we noticed a large Army duck vehicle parked out front with lots of people jumping up/down & waving American flags. What a hoot!! We then proceeded to the Hwy 45 exit down the road & waved to the soldiers in the bus, as they passed us taking the off-ramp. It was a very emotional day for us all. Know that we WILL be here for all of you when you get back. COUNT ON IT !! We appreciate ALL that you do for us while serving in the military. God bless everyone of you!! ~Michael Weaver, Patriot Guard, SRC, N.E.Wisconson~ Army Medic, Vietnam, 1968-69 ~ |
