Welcome Home - Cpl. Kory Frost, USMC, Monroe, NC, 16 May 08

The wife of Cpl. Kory Frost has invited the PGR to take part in a welcome home celebration that will be held at the
home of her parents.

Cpl. Frost is with the 3/2 and is completing his second tour in Iraq.  The scheduled date of his arrival in Monroe is Friday, May 16th.

We will stage at the BP Station/McDonalds at 4003 Hwy 74 E, Wingate, NC 28174 @ 4:30 PM (1630 hrs).  Mrs. Frost will request that Kory stop at the BP without telling him that we are going to be there.  Once we have welcomed Kory home, we will escort Kory and Mrs. Frost to her parents home.  I have set the staging time a bit early in case Mrs. Frost cannot delay the trip home.  It may also help you to avoid some of the rush hour traffic.

Our route will take us West on 74 for approximately 11 miles into Monroe, NC.

We will have a special guest along with us on this ride.   Mrs. Golla, mother of CPL Cliff Golla, who's honors mission we served in Charlotte, will be riding on my bike.   Cliff and Kory served together in the same unit and were good friends.   I plan to be at Mrs. Golla's at 3:30 PM (1530 hrs). If anyone would like to join me when I pick her up please let me know and I will provide the address.

I will be the point of contact and Ride Captain for this Welcome Home Ride.

The scheduled date of his arrival in Monroe is Friday, May 16th, at 6:00 PM.   Experience tells us that this date may be subject to change.   We will plan to meet the Frost family at a location to be determined, and escort them to Mrs. Frost's parents home.   The escort will have from 4 to 6 bikes with flags and the remaining riders and cagers will be at the parents home to establish a flag line prior to his arrival.

I thought you all would like to know that Gold Star Mother, Mrs. Golla, mother of LCpl. Cliff Golla, will be riding with us on this welcome home ride.    Cliff and Kory were friends and served together in the same unit and she wants to join us in welcoming Kory home.

I sure you remember the Mission for Cliff as well as the plaque presentation.   We had a awesome turn out for both and I hope we can have as good a turn out for Kory's home coming.

WELCOME HOME HERO!

See you there!
