Staging Info for Saturday Nov 22nd, Welcome Home 151st Security Forces Squadron, Utah Air National Guard.................
Media release - cleared by OPSEC: SALT LAKE CITY - Approximately 25 Airmen from the 151st Security Forces Squadron, Utah Air National Guard, will return home Saturday at approximately 2:30 p.m. after serving six months in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.
During their deployment the Airmen provided force protection for deployed coalition and non-combatant forces, convoy security, base defense and law enforcement. The Utah Airmen deployed on May 16, 2008.
"We are very excited to have them home again," said 1st Lt. Kevin Larsen, 151st Security Forces Squadron commander. "They performed their mission superbly and their families are looking forward to having them back."
Staging will be at 12:45 pm in the parking lot of the Baymont Inns, 2100 West North Temple, Salt Lake City (we have used it before).
A Rider's briefing will take place at this location. KSU at 1:30 pm. We will proceed to 2200 West and go north to the entrance gates of the Air National Guard.
Please be sure to have a picture ID with you such as a Utah drivers license, passport, or military ID. If you do not bring any ID with you you will not be allowed on base, also for those on bikes you need to wear a long sleeve shirt or jacket, helmet, full fingered gloves, and eye protection.
The flight is scheduled to arrive at 2:30 pm. We will set and stand a Flag Line to receive our troops home.
Please watch the weather and dress accordingly.
