It is with heavy heart that we here in Tennessee must post another lost American Hero, SSgt Stephen Ray" Animal" Hester, USMC and PGR member passed away this week at the age of 49.

STEPHEN RAY HESTER, 49, of Cordova, died July 18, 2008 at Crittenden County Hospital. He was a pipefitter for River City Sprinklers, a member of the Patriot Guard, an avid motorcycle rider and hunter, and a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He was a PGR Member from Cape Girardeau Missouri, before moving to Cordova, TN.

He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Robin S. Hester; two daughters, Amanda Weible, Christina Willey, both St. Louis; sisters, Angela Higbee of Lakeland, FL, Vickie Holloway of Searcy, AR; brothers, Kenneth Hester and Leonard Hester, both of Searcy,AR; grandchildren, Scott and Linda Haynes, and Kayla Weible.

Visitation:  Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from 5pm - 8pm at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel, 5599 Popular Av., Memphis, TN 38119. www.memphisfuneralhome.net

Staging for Visitation will be at the Funeral Home at 4:00pm Tuesday. The funeral home is located on Poplar Avenue, just off I-240.

Service:  Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, at 9:30 am

Staging for the funeral will be at 8:30am at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetary, located on Forrest Hill Irene, at Hwy 385.

Please accept our sincere sympathy for SSG Stephen Hester. He was doing his job and God called him home. It is with a heartfelt lost of another wonderful hero. Thank you SSG Hester for defending our great country, your family, and its American people. You are a hero and always will be. God bless each and every one of you. Thanks for a job well done by you.

I more than likely will not be at the funeral home on Tuesday. I am going to ask Scott if he can do that portion. I have something else that I need to take care of that afternoon. If you attend the viewing, remember what we are, who we are and why we do these missions. Do not speak of anything more than the honoree's service, membership and of course your desire to stand in order to honor him, his family and community. Give no press coverage to anyone or anything that doesn't deserve it.

Robin, we are coming to stand for a Marine, a fellow PGR member. I probably ran on a few misssions with Stephen, as I have had several missions up in Cape G that I attended. I know he would stand for me, and that is why on Wednesday, I will be there for you and he. I am sure that you will in time get through this, because I know that God, working on his schedule, has the ability to hand you only that which you can deal with. Our grief is an obstacle, but one that God chose for us to cross, he is sure you'll proceed on the path and become stronger for it.

We may never know why Stephen was taken so early. I'll stand because being a Marine and being PGR was more than enough reason to earn my respect.

Riders, hydrate well. Cagers, water please.

It doesn't need to be cold just wet.

All bring sunblock, and other precautions please.

On Flag line, let's ditch the leather vests, wear light colored shirts, some type of hat to help shade you.

Mission brief will be very simple, as we are not riding enmass to the cemetary, but staging there this time. Parking is at a premium, it'll be tight!!
