ROBERT KEITH BALLARD
WWII NAVY VETERAN
TUESDAY, 22 JULY 08
 
 
The family of Robert Keith Ballard, who served as an Aviation Machinist Mate 2nd Class during WWII, has invited the Patriot Guard to attend his services.   His widow, Mrs. Dolores B. Ballard, also served in the Navy during WWII as a Yeoman 2nd Class.
 
The funeral service will be held at Candlewyck Baptist Church, 7200 Providence Rd., at 11:00AM on Tuesday, 22 July 08.
 
We will stage at the church at 10:00AM and establish a flag line at 10:30AM.
 
Mr. Ballard's son Michael, is the Asst. Director of the Charlotte Harley Owners Group, and we will be joined by some of their members.

Following the service we will provide escort for Mr. Ballard and his family to Evergreen Cemetery on Central Av. where he will be receive with full Military Honors.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Robert Ballard.   We thank both he and his wife for their service to this great nation during WWII.

Sadly, we are losing our WWII veterans; the greatest generation, at an alarming rate, and welcome the opportunity to stand for him. . .   just as he stood for us.

It is because of great men such as Mr. Ballard that allow us to experience the freedoms that we have today, and my wife and I are gtrateful. Our sincere condolences go out to the entire Ballard family. Unfortunately, we won't be able to be there to honor this hero, but he will be in our prayers.
