Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of SN Joe Larsen, US Navy. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your son was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Joe.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.

Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.

Any service related death, on or off duty, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.

I offer you my services, such as they are. If you want to talk, feel free to get in touch with me thru the PGR messaging. I WILL return your call/message. ANYTIME!

In the meantime know that my wife's and my prayers are with you.

SN Joe Larson may you be in peace my friend. Thank you for you dedication and service to our country.

Stand proud my soldier

For my armed forces I proudly stand, thankful for their sacrifice flag in hand.
They gave their life so mine could be free, they held the line just for me.
Their lives were given for God and country, not for the glory or for the money.
Their shift was long and their pay was short, they proudly stand now in Gods court.
He smiles upon them and takes their hand, at attention in heaven they proudly stand.
You’ve done your job and I ask you in, at ease my soldier you’re now among friends.
Here above you can watch and see, that old glory still fly’s and your country is free.
So many like you are here and their lives they gave, so their family’s can be free and your flag can wave.
There is a flag draped coffin just for you, the colors upon it are red, white, and blue.
For awhile your family may take it hard, but for you and for them stand the Patriot Guard.

Your willingness to stand for our nation is so truly appreciated, SN Larsen. Rest easy now with our Lord, and know that you will not be forgotten here.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve.
