| ~ FINAL REPORT- Appleton Phase. 11 PGR's stood the flagline outside the Zenz home at 0700 hrs. We also had a USMC Sgt in dress blues stand with us. There were 3 bluestar families represented within our ranks. 5 were Marine Corps Veterans. 3 were Vietnam Vets. It is always so emotional for all of us. At the end Mrs. Zenz passed out a rose to each of us. Net presented her with a card & the dogtags. We formed the Circle of Comfort. Each PGR had a chance to say a word outloud to the family. A prayer was said for the Marine and another for his parents. We left in silence. SEMPER FI, Brian. We will be here when you return.... | Dear Patriot Guard Members-
I would like to deliver a heartfelt thanks to each and everyone of you on this board and to all who participated in the send off gathering today on behalf of our son Corp.Brian J. Zenz.
A very special Thank you to Mike Weaver for organizing and facilitating this for us.
This has been an extremly tiring and exhausting day for our family and Brian included (flight back to Cali delayed by 4 hours) also he will be staying overnite in the Atlanta airport due to the delays.
Words cannot express, the deep caring and sincere expression of support found within this new circle of friends,I have found, in the Patriot Guard Riders Family..people giving of their time, support and Prayer coverage in the name of simply caring for those who serve, present, past and Future..
Everything from the comments to our family and Brian, today, to the send off Prayers, hugs from all of you, cards and other military tokens from Net, have touched me greatly. Listening to how a Military member of your family or yourself means the world to me, I will be praying for you all.
Today was one of the most difficult times I have ever had in leaving leave my son at the airport, knowing in less than one week, he will be in Iraq. and will go thru another long gap of time before we see him again. My heart is heavy, my eyes swollen from crying, and the saddness from missing Brian already is overwhelming, but knowing I have anew kindered friendship in all of you, makes the burden less heavy, and easier to bear. Thanks be to God for you all....
Peace~God Bless Respectfully,
~Cindi~
