| According to an article in the Fredericksburg Free Lance Star 130 soldiers of Fox Co of the 429th are due to arrive at the Fredericksburg Armoury on Wednesday the 7th of May. Does anyone have any further details and is their a ride scheduled? If so I'd be honored to participate in welcoming them home. |

MISSION COMPLETE The Patriot Guard Riders were honored to Welcome Home the E Company of the 429th National Guard after an honorable year of service in Iraq. Seven riders and bikes met the 3 busses carrying approx 170 soldiers on the interstate leading into Roanoke, VA. State and local LEO provided escort and PGR riders blended in as we rode through Roanoke to the armory. Family, friends, dignitaries, and officials all cheered as we arrived with horns honking. PGR members quickly dismounted and provided a flag line as the soldiers entered the armory, single file, ....yes: to cheers, hoots, hollers, and tears. After ceremony, further escort was provided to South Boston armory as several members of the 429th were met there by family and friends. We were very fortunate to have Virginia PGR members from Districts 2,3,6, the State Captain (Tony Turner) State HOTH Coordinator (Ben Nobles).... and new PGR members who were an honor and privilege to ride with. I am grateful to be a part of such a beautiful and devoted group of riders as we have in PGR.... I submit this report with the deepest respect to all....especially out brave heroes who brought a tear to this old boys eyes.... WELCOME HOME AND GOD BLESS, Jim 'borlo' Borling
