************MISSION ITINERARY AND URGENT INFO***************
Mrs. Brown, the wife of Major Joseph Brown II has requested that the Patriot Guard Riders serve as pallbearers for her husbands services. As such, I am requesting that anyone in good health, who is making plans to attend this mission, and is able to fulfill the honorable position of pallbearer, please email me at fyrefighter814@aol.com. We are honored to be requested to serve in this manner. However, I do need to be certain that we have six pallbearers as well as those who can maintain a flag line. Hopefully I will get enough response to designate six pallbearers prior to the mission.
Also, the director has offered to allow us to form our flag line inside the funeral home, if inclement weather makes it difficult to stand outside. The funeral home building is fairly large, with a large foyer and hallway. I plan to take advantage of this if necessary, and certainly for those who may have physical issues which make standing in the weather difficult.
The funeral service starts at 2:00. We will meet at the staging area at noon, with briefing to be held at 12:15. We will depart for the funeral home at 12:20, with plans to maintain a flag line from 12:30 to 2:00. The staging area will be immediately off of I-79, exit 137. If you are coming north, get off the exit and turn right. Immediately past the Exxon, there is a gravel lot on your right. Coming south on 79, get off of the exit and turn left. Go under the underpass, and you will see the Exxon, then the gravel lot on your right.
Although the weather is not expected to be horrible, I still do not expect to see bikes. However, if you do come on two wheels, please excercise extreme caution.
We will lead the funeral procession to the cemetery , which is approximately 5 miles from the funeral home. At that point, we will form a flag line, carry Major Brown to his final resting place, and present the plaque to his wife. The roads and access are not a problem.
IF you miss the staging area and time, Ford Funeral Home is located at 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV. When you get off of 79, turn the opposite direction from the staging area, and get in the left lane. Turn left at the McDonalds, onto East Park Ave. Go through two stop lights. After going through the second light, take your next left into Guffey St. Two blocks will take you directly to the funeral home, on the right, at the intersection of Guffey and Columbia.
Any questions or comments, please call me at 304-692-6900.
Word has been received of the untimely death of Major Joseph William Brown II, as the result of a hunting related accident. Major Brown had recently lived in Ohio, but had most recently moved to Texas. He also previously lived in Kentucky. In addition to being a Major in the United States Army Reserves, he was also a PGR member.
His wife has requested the services of the PGR to honor the service of Major Brown at the funeral on Saturday, November 29th at 1400 hrs. The funeral will be held at the Ford Funeral Home on Columbia Street in Fairmont, WV. Burial will be at a small church cemetery located in Monumental, WV. Monumental is located about 2 miles north of Barrackville, WV.
Further arrangements are incomplete at this time. I have made contact with the funeral home director, and he states that Mrs. Brown has already mentioned the PGR, and wants full services.
I will post further as I get more info.

Regretfully, we hear about the passing of another American Hero. We appreciate the servie of Major Brown to his country. Also, to the family and friends, who are hurting now, as they feel the loss, we extend our sincere prayers for strength and comfort during this time. May God be with you in every way.
In addition to the fact that he was in the military, dedicated to service to our country, he was also a brother in the PGR. Thus, we feel the loss even more. It will be an honor to lead him on his final journey, and to be there in every way possible for his family.

Thank you, Major Brown, for your service to our country, helping to protect and preserve the freedom and liberties we've come to expect and enjoy. Thank you, too, for your willingness to Stand For Those Who Stood For US by your membership in the PGR. May God welcome you with open arms as you approach the Gates of Heaven.
May your family, friends and community find healing in His comfort and mercy. May they soon realize that you continue to watch over them from your place among the Angels.
Stand at ease, Joseph. Your tour of duty is now complete. It is now our time to stand for you. God Speed, Sir. Respects, Joe |

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Maj. Joseph William Brown, II, USAR and PGR Member. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. He is
one of America's Heroes that will NEVER be forgotten.
Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Joseph.
Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.
Morning
Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

Our debt to the Heroic men and Valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid . They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices (President Harry S. Truman)
During these days of many trials and tribulations that our land of the free are facing, let us remember to hold our heads up high in remembrance for those who gave thier life for our freedom and those that are still in harms way for this cause. Pray for the brokenhearted and proclaim victory for those who are held captive. Lord, You are the light of the world and we declare You to be Lord over every nation.
