Update 2330 cst 05 May 08 Big rock
Updated 05 MAY 08 harly69g

PGR
  The Parents of US Army Captain Andrew R. Pearson have requested our participation in a Memorial Service to be held in downtown Billings, Mt. at the Purple Heart Memorial Park adjacent to the county courthouse (27th and 2nd ave. no.) at 3 pm, Saturday, May 10 2008.

  Capt. Pearson graduated from West Point in 2001, served multiple tours in Iraq and was a highly decorated Hero. His medals include; The Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, Expert infantry Badge, Parachutist Badge, Ranger Tab and others.

  Staging will be at 2:30 pm in the parking lot on the east side of the courthouse. There are other activities scheduled in the park until 2:30 pm. As soon as they are clear we will establish our Flagline.

  After the service there will be a motorcade/procession from the downtown location to 4801 State Route 3 (approx. 10 miles) where an event to celebrate the life of this Hero will be held. Billings Police may assist with some traffic control, if they are not available PGR has permission from them to provide road guards at controlled intersections.

Tracy Walters will be the RC for this mission. It is hoped that we can get as many members as possible involved.

MISSION UPDATE;

As the scope of this Mission is taking on new and larger propotions, I repectfully request all PGR members planning to attend to arrive at the staging area at 2:00pm or earlier if possible. Members of the VFW, Purple Heart recipients and other groups will also be present.

We will have a Mission briefing at 2:00 pm to iron out final details, organize road guards etc. We will then move to the park as soon as it is convenient.

The ceremony should take approx. 1 to 1 1/2 hrs. All other specifics to this mission remain as previously posted. Thank You All for your participation in honoring this Heroic Warrior and being there in support of his Family.

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Cpt. Andrew. R. Pearson. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your son was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Andrew.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

Two more American Heroes have finished their 'tour of duty' and gone home to their reward. It is hard to let them go, I know, and the families are hurting. Take strength from God and in knowing that his sacrifice will not be in vain. The sacrifice made by Andrew will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Andrew. We will all shake your hand later. For now, we will honor your sacrifice.
