Club Members:

The PGR has been asked to render honors for CPL. Jason Michael-Charles
Bogar, 25, of the 2nd Battalion, 503d Infantry Regiment (Airborne), 173rd
Airborne Brigade Combat Team.CPL. Bogar was killed in action in Wanat,
Afghanistan.

This mission will be on Friday, July 25th. Lead RC will be Mark (Cheekymark)
Telford, Secondary RC will be John (Blackout) Harpe.

Downtown Harley Davidson

0900 AM - RC “Blackout” and “Cheekymark” arrive at staging location
0920 AM - Riders arrive
0940 AM - Ride brief
1000 AM - Group leaves for St. Mark’s Cathedral.
1030 AM - Group arrives at St. Marks and establishes flag line .
1045 AM- Escort contingent leaves St Mark's for Bonney Watson Funeral Chapel
Seattle Wa.
1130 AM-Escort contingent leaves Bonney-Watson for St. Mark's
12:00 PM - Family begins to arrive at St. Mark’s. Flag line in place for
family's arrival.
1300 PM - Ceremony begins, break down flag line proceed to Lake View
Cemetery establish flag line for internment ceremony.
Olympic Escort will be doing our escort once again.

DoD Identifies Army Casualties

            The Department of Defense announced today the death of nine soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. They died of wounds suffered when their outpost was attacked by small arms fire and rocket propelled grenades from enemy forces in Wanat, Afghanistan, on July 13. They were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 503d Infantry Regiment (Airborne), 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Vicenza, Italy.
            Killed were:
            1st Lt. Jonathan P. Brostrom, 24, of Hawaii.
            Sgt. Israel Garcia, 24, of Long Beach, Calif.
            Cpl. Jonathan R. Ayers, 24, of Snellville, Ga.
            Cpl. Jason M. Bogar, 25, of Seattle, Wash.
            Cpl. Jason D. Hovater, 24, of Clinton, Tenn.
            Cpl. Matthew B. Phillips, 27, of Jasper, Ga.

As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.

Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.

Any service related death, on or off duty, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.
