SP4 (ret) James E Main, Sr., PGR/Army, Topeka, KS, 20, 21 May 2008
 
The family has invited the PGR to participate in the visitation and escort for SP4 Main.  His son Sgt. Randy Main, is serving in the Army and will be riding with us.  He will lead the escort from the funeral home to the cemetary.
 
Tuesday, 20 May 2008
 
Visitation will be from 1800 to 2000, at the Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N. Kansas Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66608.  This part of the mission will be a ride in.  Please be there by 1730 to help set up flag line.  You may come as go as you like.  If you can be there by 1730 to help set up, please contact me.

Funeral Service will be at 1000 on Wednesday, 21 May, at the funeral home with escort to the Meridan Cemetary in Meridan, KS.  Staging will take place at American Legion Post 400 parking lot, 3029 NW Hwy 24, Topeka, KS 66618.

Randy, my thoughts and prayers are following you and your family to Kansas and back.
I wish I could be there in person, but you know I'll be standing in spirit for your dad.
I'm sorry you had to come home from Iraq to bury your father, but you can rest easy knowing that you were with him at the end of this life. I'm so glad I got to meet Jim...he had a great sense of humor, and I could tell that he loved his family and was extremely proud of you all.

James, thank you for your service, Sir, and for raising such a fine son to follow in your footsteps. I know you're in a better place, free of pain, and will always be watching over "your kids".

Randy, I'm glad that you could be at your father's side in his last days, before you're returning to Iraq.
