Mission Update
SGT Joseph Ford Evansville, IN May 18, 19, 20 2008 Sunday May 18, 2008 PGR at the invitation of the family will be escorting the remains of SGT Joseph Ford from Tri-State Aero, Dress Regional Airport to the Funeral home. Location: Tri-State Aero, 1601 Flight Line Drive, Evansville, IN. We will assemble in the parking area South of Tri-State Aero. Tri-State Aero is located on the East side of US-41 Time: 0900 Central Briefing 0930 Central Flight Arrival at 0949 Central The escort route is estimated to be 7 miles. Monday May 19, 2008 Flag Line: Location: Ziemer’s Central Chapel, 626 First Ave, Evansville, IN Time: 3-8 PM Central Please park in the NW corner behind the funeral home or on a side street. This is a private viewing for family and friends. Please come for as long as you can. Tuesday May 20, 2008 Part 1 Flag Line Location: National Guard Armory, 3000 Division St., Evansville, IN Time: 8:30 AM-12:00 Noon Central This will be a public memorial service for SGT Ford. Please park in NE Corner. We expect a large number of visitors and will need all the help we can get. Please come for as long as you can. Part 2: Flag Line Location: Ziemer’s Central Chapel, 626 First Ave, Evansville, IN Time: 1:30- till services are over/ PM Central Please park in the NW corner behind the funeral home or on a side street. This is the private service for family and friends. Military rites and Honors will be rendered during this period. Please come for as long as you can. Sgt Joseph A. Ford's family has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend and assist in the services for Sgt Ford.
Exact details are not developed yet but, at this time it appears that he will arrive into the Evansville, IN airport on Sunday, 18 May.
PGR has been asked to provide an escort from the airport to the funeral home in Evansville.
We will hold flag lines on Monday and Tuesday during public and private visitations.
These preliminary plans could change and exact details will be developed very soon, please check back often for updates on this mission.

DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Joseph A. Ford, 23, of Knox, Ind., died May 10 in Al Asad, Iraq, of injuries suffered in a vehicle accident. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 152nd Cavalry Regiment, 76th Brigade Combat Team, Indiana National Guard, New Albany, Ind.
The incident is under investigation.

My condolences to the Family and Friends of Sgt Ford. Some members of my Wife's Family live in Knox, IN. I know eveyone in this tight-knit community is grieving for the loss of this young Soldier. Rest, Specialist, your Mission is complete. Now prepare to Stand your Post, for they must have needed another Hero to guard the Gates of Heaven.

My sincere condolences to the Family and Friends of Sgt Joseph A Ford, Indiana National Guard Veteran. I pray God will give you comfort in your time of sorrow. I am grateful for Spc Joseph A Ford's, service to our Great Nation and greatly appreciate Him for my freedom. Spc Joseph A Ford, You are a true American Hero and will not be forgotten. Stand down Soldier, Your mission is complete. Job Well Done. May our Heavenly Father welcome You home to rest.
