Staging for the SPC Jeremy Gullett visitation on Saturday, 17 May 2008, will be at 1015 hours at the War Memorial on US 23 near Wurtland. KSU 1030 hours sharp. We want to be in place prior to 1100 hours when the family arrives. Visitation is scheduled from 1200 hours to 1400 hours. The funeral begins at 1400 hours. Directly following the funeral, the procession will advance to the family cemetery. That escort will be led by the Kentucky State Police, followed by the PGR, numerous fire trucks, family, friends and ending with the Kentucky State Police. Many thanks to Ghost (Phil Maggard) ghostrider52005@alltel.net for taking on Ride Captain duties while I am unavailable.
- If you need to leave prior to the end of the scheduled visitation, please feel to free to do so. Just like the Gullett family, we appreciate the fact that you are there for as long as you can be.
- As always, if you need to smoke, answer or make a telephone call, please step out of the flag line and away from the immediate area. (Please ensure your cell phones are on vibrate or turned off while in the flag line.)
- Flags should be maintained in a vertical position (the position of respect).
- PLEASE REMEMBER THAT OUR COUNTRY'S FLAG SHOULD NEVER TOUCH THE GROUND UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!
Thank you all again for your dedication to the PGR's mission. I appreciate each one of you and am proud to call you my brothers and sisters.
Tom

SPC Gullett will be arriving at 0900 at the Worthington Airport. I did meet with the airport manager and everything is set up. Details will be given at the briefing.
The STAGING/BRIEFING area will be tomorrow, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 at 0730 hours, at the Lowes parking lot at the intersection of US 23 N and Diedrick Blvd (across from AK Steel). KSU at 0745 hours sharp. We will travel to the Worthington Airport and set up a flag line inside a designated hanger.
From there we will be escorting Jeremy to the Reed Funeral Home in Greenup. All coordinating plans have been made with Roger Reed, in accordance with the family's wishes. Upon arrival to the funeral home, we will immediately set up a second flagline in which Jeremy will pass between from the hearse to enter the funeral home. The family will follow him inside.
After the family has entered the funeral home, the Patriot Guard will quietly depart the area to give the family privacy with Jeremy. For those that would like to ride to the cemetery site, I will be headed out that way so you know how to get there. Following that, I will be going to the Wurtland Middle School where the visitation will be taking place on Friday, 1700-2100 hours, and Saturday, 1200-1400 hours. The funeral will begin at 1400 hours, Saturday. All other info will be provided at the briefing. Please be on time if not early. There's a lot of info to put out for this three day mission. As always, take care and ride safe.
Tom

My deepest and sincere condolences to the family and friends of Spc. Jeremy R. Gullett. It saddens me everytime I hear of another loss of a National Hero guarding our freedom and way of life. When it is someone as close to home as this it is especially disturbing. I know words cannot help the family at this time. I can only hope that they will later find peace in knowing how much Jeremy's commitment to duty and country is appreciated by his fellow countrymen. I will follow this thread closely and will make every effort to be there if we are given the honor of standing for this fine young man. My heart truly goes out especially to his parents, his wife and child. May God be with all of you during this terrible time. Standing by in Portsmouth, Ohio: Groundhog |

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.
Morning
Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.
