one of America's Heroes that will never be forgotten.
Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Daniel.
Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.
Morning
Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

Gene and Becky, my condolences on the loss of your grandfather. You can be proud of his service to our country as one of "The Greatest Generation." It will be my honor to stand in the flag line for this veteran.
my God! O my God! Verily, thy servant, humble before the majesty of
Thy divine supremacy, lowly at the door of Thy oneness, hath believed
in Thee and in Thy verses, hath testified to Thy word, hath been
enkindled with the fire of Thy love, hath been immersed in the depths
of the ocean of Thy knowledge, hath been attracted by Thy breezes, hath
relied upon Thee, hath turned his face to Thee, hath offered his
supplications to Thee, and hath been assured of Thy pardon and
forgiveness. He hath abandoned this mortal life and hath flown to the
kingdom of immortality, yearning for the favor of meeting Thee. O Lord, glorify his station, shelter him under
the pavilion of Thy supreme mercy, cause him to enter Thy glorious
paradise, and perpetuate his existence in Thine exalted rose garden,
that he may plunge into the sea of light in the world of mysteries. Verily, Thou art the Generous, the Powerful, the Forgiver and the Bestower

Daniel L. Daniels, My Loving Grandpa The day before my grandpa died I was on the phone with my grandma and she said she wasn't going to have any kind of service for my him. Over the past few months I have been telling her and my mother about us, The Patriot Guard Riders, and that Gene and I would be honored to set up the service for her if she wanted. She thankfully agreed. I knew that the reason she didn't want to do anything was because she wasn't sure how to go about everything and so that is why I offered because my grandpa was one of my most favorite people in the world. All of you would have loved him as he would have loved you too, I'm sorry you didn't get the chance to meet. When the phone rang yesterday morning at 5:00am I knew what had happened. In that moment in time I felt like my heart had been ripped out and stomped on. He died on their 66th wedding anniversary. They were eachothers best friend and both loved God. The love they had for eachother was amazing. She would be at his bedside at the nursing home everyday for at least 8 hours a day no matter what. He has had Alzheimer's for quite a few years now but had just gotton worse the past 4 weeks or so. Our family is happy in the fact that he is not suffering anymore and that he is with God now. I guess God needed another Angel because that is what he was to me and always will be. I want to thank all of you now for your kind words that you have left on this site. Today Gene and I read most of them to my grandma over the phone. She was overwhelmed and appreciative and also said how nice it is that there are still so many nice people in the world. I also want to thank you now for being there next Friday because I will be a wreck, so I want all of you to know that now as well as next Friday I am giving you the biggest hug for all of your support and love! I know that my grandpa would have been so proud and I thank all of you for that!!!!! If I don't stop writing now I will go on forever, I have a tendency of doing that. From my family to all of you, THANK YOU!! Gene and I are so proud to know all of you and what you stand for, you are like an extended family to us and I thank you for that too. We love you guys. We will see you next Friday. Sincerely and Respectfully, Becky Kelly Proud Member of PGR
P.S. Grandpa, I know that one day we will meet again and what a reunion that will be. I love you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for being the man that you were. You were the best!!!! |
